Our Story
Every business has a story. Ours began in 2020 with a simple idea.
At a time when homegrown brands in India were beginning to grow, many business owners had great products but didn’t know where to start. Social media, branding, product photography, websites and digital marketing were still new for many businesses, and finding different agencies for every requirement made the process expensive and confusing.
Being a professional graphic designer, Nayanika saw this gap in the industry and founded Lemon Media Company with a team of just three people in a small 800 sq. ft. office in New Friends Colony, New Delhi. The goal was simple — to give growing brands one place where they could find everything they needed to build their presence online.
The journey began with a handful of freelance clients who believed in the vision and became Lemon Media Company’s very first clients, including brands like Ombrello and Cafe 27. As more businesses started reaching out, one service naturally led to another. A social media page needed great designs, good designs needed professional photography, photography led to websites, websites led to e-commerce shoots, and before long, Lemon Media Company had evolved into a full-service marketing agency.
One of the biggest turning points came when we decided to move into a larger office in Panchsheel Park. It wasn’t just a new address—it was a leap of faith. The office was almost twice the size, came with nearly three times the rent, and gave us something we’d never had before: space to build our own in-house studio. Until then, we could only manage product shoots. Suddenly, we could produce full-scale model shoots, campaign videos, branded content and much more, all under one roof.
That decision changed everything...
In 2022, Kaashni joined Lemon Media Company and brought a new level of structure to the business. While Nayanika continued leading business development, strategy and client relationships, Kaashni took charge of operations, team management and building the systems needed to support a growing company. Together, they built a culture where creativity and execution go hand in hand.
Today, Lemon Media Company operates from a 5,000 sq. ft. office in Delhi, has expanded to Mumbai, and is powered by a team of 60+ strategists, designers, marketers, photographers, videographers, developers and creators working with businesses across India.
We’ve never believed in outsourcing work just to grow faster. We’ve always believed in building the right team, creating the right environment and delivering work we’re genuinely proud of.
As a women-led company built by two sisters, we hope our journey encourages more women and aspiring entrepreneurs to trust their ideas, take the first step and build something of their own.
